- Hm, she certainly isn't Israeli in the same sense that Ralph Bakshi is. Actually, Bakshi might not be Israeli either, since he was born in Mandatory Palestine, before Israel's 1948 establishment. Wikipedia places Bakshi in "Category:Jews from Mandatory Palestine", a bunch of "American" categories, and mentions "Israel" nowhere on the page. Brian George could be moved from "Category:American" to "Category:Israeli" and "Category:British", maybe he's American and Canadian too. I can't find any helpful Tolkien Gateway examples of categorizing by nation for people born in ancient times before nation-states. There's Saint Brendan, but in that case it makes sense to just use "Irish" and Wikipedia does something similar. Yaulendil (Talk/Contribs/Edits) 00:00, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
