English Lady, welcome!
Hello and welcome to Tolkien Gateway. I hope you like the place and choose to join our work. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and we look forward to your future edits. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the Council forums or ask me on my talk page. Me on social media
Hi. You just said I've been harassing people in social media because of the RoP series. Either it's another namesake or a fake account. I already told you I haven't watched the show and that I don't like it. If I've undone your edits was because you were removing entire sections all together and going against the standards. Can you please show me that Lorenzo you mention? LorenzoCB (talk) 09:03, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- One of my mutuals recognized the artwork and thought you were the same person but its possible someone stole your artwork from here. We blocked the user in question but their username was Elerondo/Mairon Artano on Twitter. If they are impersonating you I can pass you the details in a more private message. English Lady (talk) 14:02, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- I'm only active in Facebook and Discord. Btw, I invite you to join our server for better communication. If you join, I'll appreciate if you share more info on this guy with me. LorenzoCB (talk) 14:26, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
Lack of sufficient references
I reverted your edits on two RoP episode pages, because they contained statements without any references. Please read the Tokien Gateway:Manual of Style and the Help:References page and pages for templates, such as Template:PM or Template:FR . In addition in stose instances where you did use references, the references were in clear text instead of using the template, did not refer to the subchapter of Late Writings in The Peoples of Middle-earth and did not contain page numbers. There was also no reference where you got the exact location of the shipwreck from and why that would be impossible in a flat earth given the statements at the beginning of Akallabeth how far Numenoreans could sail from Numenor in the direction of Aman during the Second Age with a flat earth. --Akhôrahil (talk) 10:29, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
- OK I hae to protest this. A whole section has been added tot the movies labelleed "deviations from the source material" and NONE of that is referenced at all. Take a look at those pages if you don't believe me. There is literally no citations in it.
- The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring#Deviations from the source material
- The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers#Deviations from the source material
- You didn't require your fellow admin to cite exactly where they got that information from, and instead are exercizing some bizarre kind of pro-Rings of Power censorship by requiring everyone to provide citations when they say the series is book accurate. Can I go and remove those sections from the movie pages for not providing citations? No, you would ban me.
- I am going to be taking this up with the other admins, because I am finding the pro-rings of Power bias on this page is getting too much. It is clearly no longer neutral. I will also be warning all my followers off Tolkien Gateway. Hope its worth what Amazon paid you to sell out this page. English Lady (talk) 12:35, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
- I cannot recommend strongly enough that you join our Discord Server, I fear you are perceiving a bias where there is none and discord would be a much easier place to converse about your concerns.
- FYI the section you deleted from The Two Towers page was more than 15 years old, from a time when standards for references were not just low but almost non existent. We now ask for a higher standard of referencing when new content is added, it is the only way to slowly improve things as implementing rules and applying them across all old articles is impossible.
- As I mentioned, I'd love to discuss this more so please join us in our Discord.JR Snow (talk) 16:22, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
- I just checked and there are edits to that section from 2022, the same year the series came out. How odd. How strange. Must be a pure coincidence.
- It can be deleted that is within in the ability of admins. No doubt it will be back by tommorow, and still without references or citations because it is too hard to fix that. Just like it is impossible to add page references to any article written post Rings of Power... not that any of the material is in the books. We wouldn't want anyone to know that though, would we? - Speaking as an admin: I gave you permission to create those sections even if not including proper references; not because I think we should lower the standards but because it can be a good base to work with, same with the same sections in the PJ films. I'm sorry if you feel your work is being unapreciated. Akhorahil's intentions were the same as mine with my first reversals: inviting you to keep the quality. All said, Tolkien Gateway is an open wiki, a community, and communication via Talkpages is not easy, so it's easy to make assumtions. We are all volunteers here, there is no agenda behind but to help us each others. I've been in the same place as you, being constantly corrected by admins and learn to use templates and paginations, and even to improve my English. Everything without seeing a penny. Please, continue your work on those sections, but please don't take corrections as bias towards RoP. Just get the idea: tomorrow a legion of new users could come and rewrite all those sections in the most biased pro-Amazon way (we would stop them of course), and I hope you wouldn't blame TG for that. - Well thankyou for re-adding. I do intend to add references eventually but I work and don't have time to do it all at once, but I want people to be able to see this information in the meantime.. English Lady (talk) 20:47, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
- "The earth was flat so it was impossible to determine how far they could sail without seeing the shore of Numenor - SO THERE! I win ! Tolkien is wrong Rings of Power is right!"
- Well, one has to wonder why the Ban of the Valar existed and how they determined it had been broken by Pharazon but not by those humans a couple of miles away from the place the Elven ship went there, and no Numenor in sight... English Lady (talk) 20:17, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
