First Age 458 (abbreviated to F.A. 458) is the 458th year of the Sun of the First Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- After the capture of Minas Tirith, the Orcs come through the Pass of Sirion, but they are destroyed by Halmir and Beleg near Brethil; the Orcs dare not cross the Taeglin for many years after.[1][2]
- Following the battle, Húrin and Huor become lost and cross the Brithiach, wandering into Dimbar. Being spotted by Thorondor, they are rescued by his Eagles and taken to Gondolin.[1][2]
