Gostir by George Sukhoff

Gostir was one of the Dragons of Morgoth about whom almost nothing is known except its name.[1]

Etymology[edit | edit source]

Gostir means "dread glance" in Noldorin, from gost ("dread, terror") and thîr ("look, face, expression, countenance").[1]

The older form of the name was Gorsthir.[1]
