A Daughter of Kings is the eighteenth scene of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers and the twenty-sixth scene of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (extended edition). This scene was extended in the latter edition.

Synopsis

Éowyn opens a chest and pulls out a sword. As she practices sword forms, Aragorn appears, telling her that she "has some skill with a blade". As she puts her sword away, Aragorn asks her what she fears.

A cage. To stay behind bars until use and old age accept them. And all chance of valor has gone beyond recall or desire.

Aragorn looks at her wonderingly, and tells her that he does not think that will be her fate. After lightly bowing to her, he walks away.
