Sir Ian Holm Cuthbert CBE (12 September 1931 - 19 June, 2020) voiced Frodo Baggins in the BBC radio adaptation of The Lord of the Rings. Years later he played Bilbo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings (film series), and Old Bilbo in The Hobbit (film series).
Ian Holm was the father of Harry Holm, who played Elanor Fairbairns in the 1981 radio series.
