- 1952 - J.R.R. Tolkien starts supervising Brian Miller's work on the Middle English Dame Sirith.
- 1964 - J.R.R. Tolkien starts writing a letter to Professor Przemyslaw Mroczkowski.
- 1965 - The 1965 BBC Interview with J.R.R. Tolkien is conducted.
- 1983 - Finn and Hengest is published.
- 2006 - The second "The One Ring Celebration" is held in Pasadena, California.
- 2010 - Cubicle 7 Entertainment announces the forth-coming release of The One Ring: The Lord of the Rings Role-playing Game.
- 2022 - The official title of The Lord of the Rings tv series is announced.
