Arciryas (Q, pron. [ˈarkirʲas]) was the younger brother of King Narmacil II. His great-grandson Eärnil would become King of Gondor after King Ondoher and both of his sons perished in battle in T.A. 1944.
Arciryas is Quenya. Its meaning is not glossed, but as Paul Strack explains, it seems to mean "Noble Ship" and to be a compound of (a)ra ("noble") and cirya ("ship").
