History
Saradas was the third child and second son of Gorbadoc Brandybuck, and had one son, Seredic. He was present at Bilbo's Farewell Party.[1]
Etymology
The meaning of the name Saradas is unknown. J.R.R. Tolkien noted that the names of the Bucklanders had a vaguely Celtic style.[2]
Jim Allan suggests that the name Saradas is a variation of the name Saradoc with an -as ending like in Marmadas and Merimas.[3]
