Primula Brandybuck (T.A. 2920 - 2980) was a Hobbit of the Shire, and Frodo Baggins' mother.
History[edit]
Primula was the youngest daughter[1] of Gorbadoc Brandybuck and Mirabella Took. She married Drogo Baggins, with whom she had one child, Frodo.[2] In late S.R. 1380, she and her husband drowned when they went boating on the Brandywine River.[1]
Etymology[edit]
Primula is a genus of the primrose family of plants. It is the Latin name of the primrose and means "little first" because it flowers in early spring.
