Second Age 843 (abbreviated to S.A. 843) is the 843rd year of the Sun of the Second Age of Middle-earth.
Notable events in this year include:
- Aldarion returns from a fourteen year long voyage from Middle-earth with ships that were battered and broken by the seas. He had first sailed to the haven of Vinyalondë and then sailed along the coasts southwards, far beyond any place that had been reached by the ships of the Númenóreans before. On his return northwards, he had encountered great storms, scarcely escaped shipwreck in the Harad and found Vinyalondë overthrown by great seas and plundered by hostile men.[1]
