Third Age 2861 (abbreviated to T.A. 2861) is the 2861st year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2861 was also known as S.R. 1261 in Shire-reckoning.

Other versions of the legendarium[edit]
Appendix B gives King Walda's death this year, who would be 81 years old. However the "Kings of the Mark" section of Appendix A puts his death 10 years earlier, in T.A. 2851.
