Third Age 2960
From Tolkien Gateway
Third Age 2960 (abbreviated to T.A. 2960) is the 2960th year of the Sun of the Third Age of Middle-earth. Third Age 2960 was also known as S.R. 1360 in Shire-reckoning.
Notable events in this year include:
- Birth of Nora Bolger, daughter of Wilibald Bolger and Prisca Baggins.[1]
- Death of Fosco Baggins.[2]
- Death of Bingo Baggins.[2]
- Death of Mirabella Took.[3]
- Death of Isengar Took.[3]
Note[edit]
In most editions, Appendix C gives Bingo Baggins's death as S.R. 1360, but in some later editions, including the 1994 and 50th anniversary editions, the year is mistakenly given as 1363. [4]
