Fire-mountain

A term, used only once by Gandalf (Fellowship of the Ring, Ch. 2), for the volcano Orodruin in the land of Mordor, where the One Ring was forged. 'Fire-mountain' is a literal translation of the name 'Orodruin'. See also: Fiery Mountain, Mountain of Fire.
