Marmadas Brandybuck was a Hobbit of the Shire.

Marmadas was the son of Gorbulas Brandybuck. His three children were Merimas, Mentha and Melilot. He and his children attended Bilbo's Farewell Party.[1]

Etymology

The meaning of the name Marmadas is unknown. J.R.R. Tolkien noted that the names of the Bucklanders had a vaguely Celtic style.[2]

Jim Allan suggests that the name Marmadas is a varation of the name Marmadoc with the ending -as like in in the names Merimas and Saradas.[3]
