- 1932 - Actress Prunella Scales is born.
- 1952 - J.R.R. Tolkien writes Letter 133.
- 2007 - "Age's End", the seventeenth and last set in The Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game, is released.
- 2009 - Tolkien's Bag End is published.
- 2010 - The RiffTrax commentary of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is released online.
