Princess Disa is the wife of Prince Durin IV. Disa was invented for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power by Amazon Studios, where she is portrayed by Sophia Nomvete.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
When Disa reminded Durin IV how he will inherit Khazad-dûm from his father, Durin IV remarked that it was just another reason to count his blessings, before reminiscing on how he married her and not Margid Rustborin.[2]
Controversy[edit | edit source]
Disa was the first female dwarf revealed from the show and she was portrayed with little facial hair. Some fans took offense because they believed Dwarf-women have full beards.[3] Sophia Nomvete responded to this, explaining that Disa does have facial hair, although it is less prominent than most male dwarves, as she only has sideburns.[4]
