In Middle-earth Role Playing, the Servants of the Real Fire were a cult active in the Dominions of the Seven and surrounding regions, though they were most prominent in Pel.[2]
Beliefs
Rejecting the Valar and the Music of the Ainur, they instead believed that Ilúvatar (Alûva) and Morgoth (Malkôra) were two deities of equal power fighting for control of Arda.
While Ilúvatar was in power in the Beginning Days[note 1], Morgoth ruled during the Middle Days[note 2]. The Third Age was seen as the Later Days to the cult, during which the two deities were in their final battle.
The cult consisted of two Orders, the Golden Flame and Blue Flame, emphasizing Ilúvatar and Morgoth respectively. Depending on their rank, adherents showed their allegiance through tattoos or a bronze choker depicting the two flames, with the flame of their specific order being upright.[2]
History
Its core scriptures were first unveiled in T.A. 1449 by Arcastur of Pel, the cult's first prophet. [1]
Between T.A. 2850 and T.A. 2890, they take control of Mag and Tumag.[3]
