Should a non-canon tag be added? Theres one on the Trotter article.--Quidon88 16:21, 3 July 2008 (EDT)
- Maybe we need specific non-canon tags? You know, one for HoMe-non canon, and several for adaptation-non canon. -- Ederchil 03:25, 4 July 2008 (EDT)
- Something like this:
|
The subject of this article appeared in [adaptation name] |
|
The subject of this article appeared only in The History of Middle-earth, but was omitted in later writings, |
- The Bilbo image is just to serve as an example, we could do original characters from other adaptations. The Minstrel of Gondor for Rankin/Bass (he's the only one they have, if memory serves me), Balfor or Lianna for "Vivendi-verse", something for "EA-verse". Lurtz of Figwit for "movieverse"-- Ederchil 04:27, 4 July 2008 (EDT)
Mix up
For one, most of this article should be merged with that on Sauron. Two, the character of Tu (or Tuvon) in Gilfanon's tale is not the same character that Thu would become (a precursor of Sauron). IvarTheBoneless 18:38, 23 October 2021 (UTC)
- I disagree with the first point: the Sauron article is pretty long already and this can allow us to expand more on the early character (I'd make three sections: TBOLT, Lay of Leithian, Fall of Númenor). I agree with the second point: it looks like Tú is a different character, but I'd like to study the matter and check if Christopher comments something on it. --LorenzoCB 09:45, 24 October 2021 (UTC)
- I believe that Thu is a merge of earlier evil Tevildo and the quasi-dark figure of Tu(von). Sage (talk) 18:14, 17 April 2023 (UTC)
Article contents
While this article is well written, I feel as though it reads far too much like a history lesson on the evolution of Sauron, rather than a biography for the character Thû. The parts about Tevildo and Sauron should either be removed or moved down past Thû's biography in my opinion. Paccyd33 (talk) 03:39, 23 November 2025 (UTC)
