Faniel was a Ñoldorin Elf that was the third daughter of Finwë and Indis in an apparently discarded concept of the legendarium.[1] She had two brothers, Fingolfin and Finarfin, two sisters, Findis and Finvain and a half-brother, Fëanor.[2]
History
Faniel was born during the Noontide of Valinor, probably in Tirion. She did not leave Valinor during the Flight of the Noldor,[3] remaining instead in Aman.
Etymology
Faniel was a Quenya name comprised of an unknown element and -iel ("daughter, feminine suffix").[4]
