Siriondil (T.A. 570[1] – 830,[2] aged 260) was the eleventh King of Gondor.
History[edit]
Siriondil's rule was apparently uneventful. He had two children, Tarannon and Tarciryan.[2]
He was succeeded by his illustrious son Tarannon Falastur, the first of the four Ship-kings of Gondor.
Etymology[edit]
Siriondil is Quenya. It is not glossed, but as Paul Strack explains, it probably means "Sirion-lover", from the river name Sirion and the suffix -(n)dil ("lover, friend").[3]
