Turgon (Steward of Gondor)
|Birth||T.A. 2855 |
|Rule||T.A. 2914 - 2953 (39 years)|
|Death||T.A. 2953 (aged 98)|
|House||House of Húrin|
Turgon was the son of Steward Túrin II. As many of the Ruling Stewards were named after legendary figures of the First Age Turgon was named after Turgon, the King of Gondolin. Unlike his father's reign (and his son's), his rule was apparently peaceful and uneventful, as no significant events for Gondor are recorded during those thirty-nine years.
His son Ecthelion succeeded him to the throne.
