History

Dior was the last Ruling Steward during the period of the Watchful Peace.[3]

Dior, having had no children, was succeeded by his sister Rían's son Denethor I.[1]

Etymology

For the meaning of his name refer to Dior - Etymology. Dior was probably named after the son of Beren and Lúthien of the First Age.[4]
