A timeline of the life of Galadriel throughtout the Ages. Important dates of close relatives are also included. Many dates and events here presented were not clearly defined, but they follow the narrative proposed in the main article.
First Age: Years of the Trees[edit | edit source]

1495[edit | edit source]
- Darkening of Valinor and speech of Fëanor in Tirion. Galadriel supports the Exile of the Noldor.[4]
- Kinslaying at Alqualondë.[5] Galadriel fights against Fëanor defending her kin.[3]
1496[edit | edit source]
- Doom of Mandos.[6] Finarfin retreats to Valinor, but Galadriel keeps forward, wishing to make Fëanor's life impossible.[3]
1497[edit | edit source]
- Fëanor and his followers abandone the rest of the Noldorin hosts in Aman, burning the stolen ships. Galadriel leads her people along with Finrod, and Fingolfin and his sons, and they begin their hard travel through Helcaraxë.[7]
1500[edit | edit source]
- The Moon rises for the first time, lighting the hosts of Fingolfin when reaching the Northern Lands.[8]
First Age: Years of the Sun[edit | edit source]

- Galadriel and Finrod are guests in Doriath. Finrod soon departs to the Caves of Narog, but she stays.[9] She befriends Celeborn and Melian.[10]

- Galadriel is enquired by Melian, and the rebelious nature of the Exile of the Noldor is exposed.[11]
67[edit | edit source]
- Galadriel is visited by her brothers in Doriath, and Thingol reproaches them having concealed the story of the Kinslaying from him. They depart, but she stays.[12]

- Nargothrond is finished and the children of Finarfin, are reunited in a feast there, including Galadriel coming from Doriath. She stays there for a while and asks Finrod about his love life.[13]

- Melian foretells Galadriel about a Man who shall cross into Doriath moved by a doom greater than the Girdle of Melian.[14]

- Dagor Bragollach. Deaths of Angrod and Aegnor.[15]

- Autumn: Fall of Nargothrond. Death of Orodreth.[17]

- The Host of the Valar arrives to Beleriand,[18] Finarfin leading the Noldor for the War of Wrath.[19]

- Galadriel and Celeborn are married "soon after the overthrow of Morgoth".[20]

- Galadriel and Celeborn leave Lindon before Gil-galad becomes its king, apparently thanks to her influence.[21] They settled at Lake Nenuial along with many followers.[22]:235

- Galadriel and Celeborn move eastwards and establish themselves in Eregion near Moria. She seeks the friendship of the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm and the Nandor of Lórinand.[22]:236

- The realm of Eregion is founded,[23] and the building of its chief city, Ost-in-Edhil, is begun.[22]:236

- Sauron moves Celebrimbor and the Gwaith-i-Mírdain against Galadriel, who leaves Eregion via Moria to Lórinand.[22]:237

- The treachery of Sauron is discovered when he forges the One Ring.[23]
1693[edit | edit source]
- The Three Rings are hidden[23] by counsel of Galadriel. Celebrimbor gives her Nenya.[22]:237
1700[edit | edit source]
- Sauron is defeated with the help of Númenor after the War of the Elves and Sauron and the Sack of Eregion.[23]
c. 1701[edit | edit source]
- "Soon after" the war, she is affected with Sea-longing and decides to dwell near the Sea. Instead she first travels to Imladris with Celebrían, seeking for Celeborn.[22]:240
- In Imladris she attends the first Council.[22]:239

- The Wise (including Galadriel, who is one of the chief Eldar), discover an evil dwelling in Dol Guldur and they believed it is one of the Nazgûl.[25]:1085

- After the apparition of Durin's Bane, Moria is emptied. Many Silvan Elves of Lórien fly south.[25]:1087
- Around this time, Galadriel and Celeborn become the Lord and Lady of Lórien.[26]

- The White Council is formed.[25]:1087
2510[edit | edit source]
- Celebrían departs to the West.[25]:1087
- She aids Eorl and his riders in the Battle of the Field of Celebrant, creating a white mist that drives out the shadows from Dol Guldur.[27]

- The White Council meets. The idea of attacking Dol Guldur is rejected by Saruman.[25]:1088
2941[edit | edit source]
- The White Council meets and attack Dol Guldur, expelling Sauron.[25]:1089

- The White Council meets for last time, debating about the Rings of Power.[25]:1089

- Aragorn enters Lothlórien after many travels,[25]:1090 admitted by Galadriel, who bades him to change his worn out clothes and dresses him like a proper prince.[28]
3019[edit | edit source]
- 17 January: Galadriel and Celeborn receive the Fellowship of the Ring in Lothlórien.[29]
- 15 February:[29] Galadriel shows her Mirror to Frodo Baggins. She is tempted with the One Ring, but rejects it.[30]
- 16 February:[29] Galadriel gives gifts and lembas to the Fellowship, and gives them farewell reciting the Namárië.[31]
- 17 February: Resurrected Gandalf is beared to Lórien by Gwaihir,[29] who was sent by Galadriel. Gandalf is received in Caras Galadhon and cloathed in white. Galadriel gives him some prophetic messages for Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli.[32]
- 28 March: After the assaults on Lothlórien, Celeborn crosses the Anduin and the destruction of Dol Guldur begins.[33] Soon after Galadriel throws down the walls of Dol Guldur.[29]
- 20 May: Elrond and Arwen come to Lórien in their way to Minas Tirith.[33]
- 27 May: The escort of Arwen leaves Lórien.[33]
- 6 September: Celeborn and Galadriel, Gandalf and the four Hobbits halt under the Mountains of Moria.[33]
- 13 September: Celeborn and Galadriel go their way.[33]

- 22 September: The Last Riding of the Keepers of the Rings meets Frodo and Sam in Woody End.[33]
- 29 September: The company arrives to the Grey Havens. The Three Keepers, Bilbo and Frodo leave Middle-earth.[33]
