Maps of Middle-earth is an accessory for Decipher's The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying Game.
While the 32-page guide mostly concerns reprinted material, all the maps were newly produced for the game by Daniel Reeve. While they came folded with the release, members of the The Lord of the Rings Fan Club (also run by Decipher) could buy them in tubes.[1]

Drawn by renowned illustrator Daniel Reeve – the official cartographer for The Lord of the Rings films – the six 17" x 22" archival quality collector's maps cover The Shire, West Gondor, East Gondor, Rohan, Eregion, and Mordor. The boxed set includes the six folded maps and a 32-page guide to the lands of Middle-earth, including keys to each of the maps.
Background
The map of West Gondor shows Aerost, Annon Wain, Annúlond, Iantras, Lómost, Lond Galen, Pinnornost, Rast Rhaen, and Saerthondost. These locations had first appeared in Middle-earth Role Playing at the same location.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8]. The same is the case for Eithel Túrin, Fanuilond, Methir, and Minas Brethil on the map of East Gondor.[9][10][11][12] The name of the river Lhúchiril in West Gondor was previously used for a river in Arnor.[13]
Seregost, a location depicted on the map of Mordor, would see further use in later adaptations.
